On this foodie walking tour you will be discovering about the rich, lavish food diet we have in here, our finest, traditional food and recipes, as well as the history and making of process of many foodstuffs. And in the end, of course, it will be your palate being the very last judge!
Stops will be arranged at most ancient chocolaterie of all Italy, been running ever since 1796, its owners having been selected as official chocolate supplier of Italian Royal House in the past, as well as at iconic, ancient Medieval Market area and Herbs Market area.
We will be strolling across the tiny, narrow medieval alleys of the market, where the most incredible number of food and gourmet shops are located, raging from lavish, vegetables and fruit booths down to bakeries and delicatessen shops, coming with the most impressive collections of local sausages, prosciutto, cheese and handmade pasta.
At Herbs Market area you will experience the real Bolognese market shopping experience: this is the place we love having our errands into, chit chatting and checking the best stuff the many booths have to offer. I will introduce to local producers, discovering local, seasonal vegetables and fruits, also hitting cheese booth and cold cuts booths. Also, you meet my lovely, ever so gracious Sfogline ladies, the pasta making ladies in town. They are just loveable, and they will share some pasta tips with you. You will feel like hugging them! That’s how adorable they are.
Chocolate, Parmigiano Reggiano and local cheeses selection, prosciutto, salami, mortadella and local cold cuts selection may be provided, and they come strongly recommended!
Costs covering possible Parmesan, Prosciutto and balsamic tastings are not included into tour leading fare.
